Pacer Harshit Rana replaced Shivam Dube as a substitute for brain shock during the fourth T20i of India against England on Friday. He has created a great controversy when former Cricket players and even England captain, Jos Buttler, questioned the movement. According to the laws of the CPI, the substitutes for brain shock must be similar replacements, which was clearly not in the case of Dube and Rana. While Dube is an all -terrain, Rana is a fast -arm bowling player. While talking about the replacement, the captain of England, Jos Buttler, questioned the measure and said he was not consulted in this regard.
“It is not a similar replacement. We do not agree with that,” Buttler said after the fourth T20i.
“Or Shivam Dube has put approximately 25 mph with the ball or Harshit has really improved his batting. It is part of the game and we should really have won the game, but we do not agree with the decision.
“There were no consultations [with us]. That is something that I was thinking when I went out to hit, who is it hard for? They said that it is a replacement for brain shock, which obviously did not agree. It is not a similar replacement. They said the referee had made the decision. We had nothing to say in him or anywhere. But we will ask Javagal [Srinath] Some questions only to get some clarity about it.
“As I said, it was not the reason we didn’t win the game. We had our chances of winning the game that we could still have taken. But I would like to have a little more clarity about it.”
Dube was shocked after he was beaten in the helmet in the final of India’s tickets during the fourth T20i.
Dube, who scored 53, was beaten in the helmet in the penultimate ball of the Indian entries for a installment of Jamie Overton. After the mandatory brain shock test, he was authorized to play. However, the SUV sold out in the final delivery of the entries. It was replaced by frog after that.
