Karun Nair turned the head of each and every one during the Vijay Hazare 2024/25 trophy, hitting an impressive 779 races in eight entries, including five centuries. The amazing performances of the 33 -year -old player for Vidarbha even raised the question of whether he should be selected as a wild card in the Indian Champions Trophy team. However, the impressive form ended up too late, since he could not make the cut for the team of 15 men. The ViceCapitan of India, Shubman Gill, gave his two cents in the non -selection of Karun Nair.
Gill emphasized the importance of continuity to guarantee a safe team environment instead of making frequent changes based on domestic performance.
“Karun had a great Vijay Hazare trophy, but that does not mean that current players are eliminated. They have also had a good performance to reach this stage.
“We have lost only one game in the world’s drinks. Team players have contributed significant Continuity, we can never build a strong team.
England is a good team, this series is important
The three hate against England are the last preparation that the Indian team obtains before the Champions Trophy, as of February 19.
The defeat of the 0-2 series against Sri Lanka in August was the last time India played Odi last year.
“We are playing against a good team. We are not taking these three hate as a practice for the Champions Trophy, since it is a very important series for us and we are looking to dominate and win this series like any other series.”
India shook England 4-1 in the T20i series recently concluded, but the hate would see the return of older people such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The first game takes place at the Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium on February 6.
