The teams in Alaska are looking for a plane that disappeared with 10 people on board.

The Nome Volunteer Fire Department said in a Facebook publication That the pilot told Air Traffic Control “intended to enter a retention pattern while waiting for the track to be cleared.”

A search and rescue plane of the Coast Guard was sent to the last known location of the plane, 12 miles from the coast, according to a Declaration in x.
The HC-120 Hercules will fly a grid pattern on the water and along the coast with equipment that can help locate the plane in visibility conditions, said the fire department.
The base of the Elmendorf Air Force, in Anchorage, also sent flight support.
The land teams have covered a stretch along the coast from Nome to Topkok, said the fire department, adding that “we continue to expand search efforts to as many ways as possible until the plane is located.”
The National Transport Security Board said it was monitoring the developments.
