Nitin Menon of India was the most notable absent in the list of party officials for the next ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the World Cricketing Corps announced Wednesday. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will take place in Pakistan and Dubai from February. One of the members of the ICC Elite referees panel, Nitin Menon, has been a regular in all CPI tournaments in the recent past.

In addition to Nitin Menon, the former Cricket player of India and current referee of ICC Match, Javagal Srinath, also did not find a place on the list. However, according to a PTI report, ICC wanted Nitin Menon on the list of party officials, but the Indian decided not to travel, citing personal reasons.

Previously, India has chosen to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to accept the hybrid model. As a result, India will play all its games in Dubai, including knockouts, provided they qualify.

In Pakistan, ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in three places in Pakistan: Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. “The ICC wanted to put it (Menon) on the Champions Trophy list. But he decided not to travel to Pakistan for personal reasons, ”said a source from BCCI to PTI.

However, Nitin Menon could not have defended India’s parties in Dubai, since the CPI follows the policy of appointing neutral referees. The Australian legend David Boon, the great Great Ranjan Madugalle de Sri Lanka and Andrew Pycroft of Zimbabwe were named as arbitrators of the party.

Richard Kettleborough, a veteran of 108 Odi, will join other Chris Gaffaney referees, Kumar Dhalese, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker, who also officiated in the 2017 tournament.

Kumar Dharmasena will extend his period of officiating 132 Odi in the next tournament, a record for a referee from Sri Lanka in Odi. Michael Gough, Adrian Holdstock, Ahsan Raza, Sharfuddaula Ibne Shahid, Alex Wharf and Joel Wilson are the other referees
