Look: communal tensions increase in Thiroparankundram – What’s behind the conflict?

The community tension has been accumulating in Thiroparankundram, the first of the six dwellings of Mr. Muruga or Karthikeya. The sacred hill in maturai has greatly maintained as a symbol of community harmony. It is now in the center of a heated debate that has caused tensions between the Hindu and Muslim attire. What is this controversy about?

Thiroparankundram is a serene hill with a deep spiritual meaning. At its base is the famous Subramaniya Swamy temple, while at its summit there is Sultan Sikkandar Avulia Dargah or Sikkandar Dargah. There is also the Kashi Viswanathar temple in the hills. The Hindu and Muslim places of worship have coexist in the hills for some centuries now.
