A fire broke out in the Maha Kumbh Mela in the Prayagraj de Uttar Pradesh today. Several fire trucks have arrived at the scene to turn off the flames. The fire incident took place in sector 18 of the Maha Kumbh Nagar area.
No victims have been reported.
“A fire broke out in a camp near Tulsi Chauraha in Old GT Road. However, firefighters have managed to obtain the fire largely under control,” said Inspector Yogesh Chaturvedi of the Khak Chowk Police Station, according to what was quoted by what was quoted by The PTI news agency.

The UP government announced a compensation of RS 25 Lakh for the families of the dead. Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath also ordered a judicial investigation and said that a judicial committee will present its report to the state government within a time limit.
Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, will continue until February 26. The remaining dates ‘Snan’ in Maha Kumbh are February 12 (Maghi Purnima) and February 26 (Maha Shivivratri).
