The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Monday that the low -cost Chinese model Depseek was a “attention call” for US companies, after their appearance caused a defeat in technological actions.
“Luckily, the launch of Deepseek AI of a Chinese company should be a attention call for our industries that we need to focus on the competition to win,” Trump told a republican retreat from Congress in Miami.
But Trump said the shock could also be “positive” for Silicon Valley by forcing him to innovate more at a low price.
“I would say it could be positive,” Trump said. “Then, instead of spending thousands and billions, it will spend less and, hopefully, the same solution will occur.”
Trump’s comments occurred after the American chip manufacturer Nvidia, whose semiconductors promotes the AI industry, led a massacre in technological actions, losing almost $ 600 billion of its market value.
The chatbot developed by Deepseek, a startup based in the city of Hangzhou of China in the east, has apparently demonstrated the ability to match the capacity of the United States rhythm sets for a fraction of the investments made by the American companies.
