Jathas and awareness programs mark World Cancer Day

As part of World Cancer Day, the State Institute of Oncology of the Kidwai State organized a Jatha consciousness on Tuesday. The march that began from the hospital facilities to Lalbagh was indicated by actor Vasishtha Simha and Kidwai administrator, Naveen Bhat Y., who is also the director of the state mission, National Health Mission.

Accounting the banners that show ‘early detection avoid cancer’, around 500 people, including doctors, nurses and medical students, together with the director in charge of the Naveen T. Institute participated in the march.

On this occasion, Dr. Bhat said that cancer can be controlled if it is detected early through regular detection and exams, managing available vaccines and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

The state government is providing necessary assistance for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease, and the Kidwai Institute provides quality services to patients with state -of -the -art medical equipment, qualified doctors, nurses, technicians and personnel, he said.

Mr. Simha said that as soon as the word cancer is mentioned, all in the family, including the patient, get anxious. “But there is no need to be anxious. If you know cancer, you can defeat it by detecting the disease at an early stage and obtaining the most appropriate treatment, ”he said.

IMA Rally

The state branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) organized a demonstration to commemorate World Cancer Day. On the occasion, the president of the IMA Bengaluru branch, Vijayanand, said that the cancer that spreads by some viruses can be prevented by vaccination. In addition, some types of cancer can be controlled following a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, he said.

“The disease can be treated by early detection and proper treatment. People should avoid smoking, consuming alcohol and tobacco, which cause cancer, ”he said.

More than 200 people, including the staff of the City of the City and the Dasappa Memorial Oncology Institute, together with the students participated in the rally and raised slogans against cancer to raise awareness among people.
