A stampede situation broke out at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj in the early hours of Wednesday before ‘Amrit Snan’ in ‘Mauni Amavasya’. According to officials, a large number of pilgrims appeared for a sacred bathroom on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, which led to a situation similar to a stampede and wounded many.

According to reports, 30 women are injured and undergo treatment at the Central Hospital established in the Mela area.

The Government of Uttar Pradesh waited 10 crore pilgrims to Maha Kumbh in just one day and had intensified security in preparation for the ‘Amrit Snan’.
