A woman police constable sustained leg injury when a speeding bike driven by a BRS cadre hit her during a bike rally held in connection with the party working president K T Rama Rao’s visit to Karimnagar on Sunday.
The woman constable, attached to the Karimnagar rural police station, was on bandobust duty at the bypass road when the incident occurred. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Karimnagar.
Her condition is stated to be stable. Sources said that the motorcycle rider lost control of the bike due to over-speeding and hit the woman cop.
Mr. Rama Rao along with other local BRS leaders visited the injured constable at the hospital and inquired about her health condition.
