The city of Nenmara in the Kerala Palakkad district is boiling after a double shocking murder. Local resident Sudhakaran, 55 and his mother Lakshmi, 75, were brutally stabbed to death at home on Monday. The defendant is his neighbor Chenthamara, who was released on bail in the case of murder, Sudhakaran’s wife, Saxitha five years ago. Police arrested Centerhamara after a 36 -hour search. Public outrage by the chilling double murder has caused protests outside the police station and the police had to use a mild force to face them.

A annihilated family

The daughters of Sudhakaran, Akhila and Athulya, are inconsolatable after losing their parents in five years against horrible acts of murder. In 2019, Chenthamara allegedly murdered his mother Saxitha. After staying in prison for a few years, he was released on bail and returned home in Nenmara. The local residents and the daughters of Sudhakaran have claimed that they told the police to withdraw Chenthamara from the neighborhood, but did not respond. On Monday, the 58 -year -old allegedly stabbed Sudhakaran and his mother at home.

Akhila and Athulya have demanded the death of Chenthamara hanging. “He killed our mother in 2019 and was in jail. Then he came out and killed our father and grandmother. He is now arrested. He will be put in jail, just to be released a few years later and again he will kill people,” they said , he added: “Why did this do this to our father?

THE REASON AND MORE OBJECTIVES

According to the police, Chenthamara has confessed the double murder. The defendant has said that he suspected that Sudhakaran would attack him to avenge his wife. Then he killed him and his mother. Multiple reports say Conghamara suspected that his wife left him due to the witchcraft of the Sudhakaran family. It was this resent that led him to allegedly kill Saxitha in 2019.

Palakkad police chief Ajith Kumar told the media that the defendant has revealed his reason behind the murders. “What I am telling you are only the preliminary findings that have not yet been corroborated. He (Conghamara) believes that his wife left him due to the interference of the victims’ family,” said the officer.

After Saxitha’s murder in 2019, Sudhakaran married again. His second wife and daughters survived because they were not at home when Chenmara hit. He also told the Police that he planned to kill his wife separated too. The police have said that the double murder was premeditated and that Congate had bought a weapon specifically for that purpose.

How the police caught him

Chanthamara hid in a forest area after the double murder. He took the police more than 36 hours to arrest him. Police said he knew the forest area well and that he had been closely tracking police movements to evade them. Finally, the police put a trap. They announced that they were canceling the search. Chenthamara heard this. He was hungry and decided to return home and collect supplies before returning to hiding place. But on his way home, he found the police waiting. It was arrested around 10.30 pm yesterday.

The news of his arrest caused mass protests outside the police station and the police had to use a slight force to control the situation. Chenthamara will occur in court today. Police said it can be taken to the crime scene for the reconstruction of double murder.
