Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in Vancouver for the Invictus 2025 games. Although the approach of their trip to Canada is supporting the wounded military veterans, the real couple’s fans have been moved for a moving family moment that the prince shared With his son, Archie.
In an interview with the Canadian television channel CTV, Prince Harry revealed that he was talking to his son about his late grandmother, Princess Diana. “Archie was asking about the land mines and, curiously, he gave me the opportunity to talk about my mother, her grandmother, who did not even consider. So that became the result of the story for him,” said the prince.
He added: “Then he saw videos … I wanted to see photos of his grandmother Diana doing his own with land mines ago so many years ago. So he produced a very interesting conversation between him and me, different from what I thought it was going to be.”
Princess Diana was close to Halo Trust, a humanitarian group dedicated to eliminating land mines from conflict areas.
Now, Prince Harry has been leading his mother’s legacy. It became a Halo Trust pattern in 2013. On the International Minas Consciousness Day in 2017, it promised to help eradicate land mines around the world by 2025.
Prince Harry returned on his mother’s footsteps, visiting a Halo Trust Mina site in Angola in 2019. He carried body armor and a protective visor and walked through the site as Princess Diana did in January 1997, seven months before that she died in a car accident in Paris.
Speaking in the same place where Diana was previously photographed, she said: “It has been a very emotional writing of my mother’s steps … see the transformation that has taken place, from an insecure and desolate place in a vibrant community.”
In a previous interview with Hoda Kotb today, Prince Harry shared that although he does not share with Archie “everything that has happened” in his family, he shows his son photos of “grandmother Diana”, that he and his wife Meghan keep exhibition at his home in Montecito where they live with Archie and Princess Lilibet.
