The United States Treasury Department slapped several companies and individuals on Thursday, which included an Indian company and an Indian civilian, for working on a network to facilitate the sending of Iranian oil, in millions of barrels, to China.
The Office of External Assets Control of the Department sanctioned more than a dozen companies and people in China, India and the United Arab Emirates.
The sanctions were slapped against Iranian and Indian citizens, the collection of ships and crew management companies.
According to the United States, the network included nodes in India and the United Arab Emirates and carried millions of oil barrels to China when hundreds of millions of dollars flowed to the general personnel of the Iran Armed Forces.
