The Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday (January 28, 2025) attacked the president of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, saying that even those infamous for their appeasement policy are now taking place in the Triveni Sangam in Maha Kumbh.
He added that expecting those who have never respected the faith of India respect faith in Sanatana Dharma It will be a mistake.

“The participation of people from various political ideologies in the current Maha Kumbh highlights the lasting influence of Sanatana Dharma. I am pleased that those people who do not respect the cultural spirit of India and the infamous for their appeasement policy are taking a dip in the Sangam de Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati mythical to seek Punya (Virtue), ”said Mr. Adityanath, in a private event in Lucknow, without appointing Mr. Yadav.
It is believed that Mr. Adityanath’s comment responded to the state leader’s statement in Prayagraj while sliding to the prime minister. The former main minister, after taking the Holy Dip in Triveni Sangam on Sunday, had said that Maha Kumbh is a spiritual event, not a water sporting event.
“For the people of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), I have to say that if you come to Kumbh, then you bathe patience. People come here for virtue and charity, not for water sports, ”said the leader of the SP.

Maha Kumbh was held in Prayagraj after 12 years, considered that the largest meeting of humans is witnessing millions of devotees who bathe in the Holy Sangam in Prayagraj every day. The Uttar Pradesh government said that more than 140 million people went around Sangam so far. The event will conclude on February 26 with more than 400 million people visiting the city. Up to 55 police stations are functional in the Temporary District of Maha Kumbh with the deployment of more than 55,000 police personnel for the event. Thirteen Akharas of seers from different sects participate in Maha Kumbh.
