The container truck attributed to two students from the Institute of Industrial Training (ITI) on Thursday.
Two students from the Institute of Industrial Training (ITI), who underwent learning in Bhel in Ranipet, were run over a container truck in Alamelumangapuram that is under the limits of Velore Corporation on Thursday.
P. Jeeva, 20, from Mel Kavanur’s village near Katpadi; R. Hariharan, 20, from Pallikonda; and P. Suriya, 20, from the Aldullapuram village, near Velllore, traveled from Pallikonda to Bhel in a two-wheeled vehicle on the Chennai-Bengaluru road.
Jeeva, who was traveling in the two -wheeled vehicle, lost control of the vehicle and hit the barrier in the final stretch. He and Hariharan fell on the road and were run over by a truck that is directed from the port of Chennai to Bangalore. Meanwhile, Suriya, who jumped from the vehicle, suffered wounds.
According to the reports, the three did not wear helmets. The accident took place around 7.30 am
The passers -by transferred the injured student to the Government Medical College and the Hospital in Velore to receive treatment.
They also informed the Satuvachari police, who hastened to the place and arrested the driver of the truck. He was later housed in the central prison of Velore.
A probe is underway.
