President Donald Trump said Monday that he would sign an executive order to start building an air defense system of “iron dome” for the United States, such as Israel has used to intercept thousands of rockets.
“We need to immediately begin the construction of an Iron Dome antimile defense shield of the last generation,” Trump told a republican retreat from Congress in Miami the day when the new Secretary of Defense Pete Hegesh assumed the position.
