White was arrested in August 2020 after Delisa was shot dead inside her home in Commerce City, CBS Colorado reported At the moment.
In the months prior to murder, White and Delisa have a “volatile and tense relationship”, partly because Delisa had often criticized her girlfriend for not being able to ensure full -time work, according to the district prosecutor’s office. On August 13, 2020, the authorities say that White attended a work interview in Denver. On the bus trip home, Delisa “expressed skepticism about his chances of getting the job, which bothers White.”
White met a stranger on the bus that appeared as “Scott” and after talking about Delisa’s supposed abusive behavior, they devised a plan to kill Delisa, said the prosecutor’s office.
After leaving the bus, they say that the authorities walked to the house, they were white and Delisa lived. A short time later, Delisa was shot twice in the head, and her body was discovered the next day.
The authorities did not explicitly identify who pressed the trigger, but said the couple practiced to shoot Scott’s weapon before the murder.
White and Scott allegedly stole Delisa’s wallet after the murder and spent the following days in the area before Scott left, and White told the authorities that he never saw him again. White was then identified as suspicious and it was arrested and loaded.
Three years after the murder, the authorities made another advance in the case. In 2023, a woman who identified himself as Michael Stratton’s girlfriend contacted the district prosecutor and said that her boyfriend had confessed to being involved in Delisa’s murder.
The authorities say that his description matched White’s story about crime. Stratton had been arrested for a separate murder that occurred after Delisa’s death. The authorities said that Stratton was considered incompetent to be judged in that case, and that he has not been accused in relation to Delisa’s murder.
White’s trial began on January 6, and after about three weeks of testimony, the jury found it guilty of second degree murder, conspiracy to commit second degree murder and robbery.
“This was a tragic and meaningless murder and Ashley White has a significant guilt for it,” said District Prosecutor Brian Mason. “Its streets actions led to the death of the victim and will now pay a significant price.”
White is scheduled for the sentence on April 4.
