A senior female of a university in Western Bengal Association with the University, a senior official said Tuesday.
An alleged video clip of women, head of the Department of Psychology applied at the State University of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (Makaut), making Hindu Bengalí marriage rituals with a first -year student of his department inside a classroom became Viral viral on January 28, triggering a rage.
The Makout Registrar, Partha Pratim Lahiri, told PTI that the teacher has sent an email to her office in which she has expressed her inability to continue her association with the state university “in view of the current situation” that arises from The circulation of the video circulation that left it “mentally devastated.”
“He has referred to the incident and thanked Makaut for allowing him the opportunity to work with the institution in recent years,” said Lahiri.
Lahiri said that the teacher, who had been asked to leave a license after the controversy, sent the mail on February 1 and is currently in process.
“We will let our decision know at the right time,” he said.
The video clip, which shows the teacher in all his wedding galas, was filmed inside a classroom on the Makout Haringhata campus in the Nadia district of the state.
The professor, however, had affirmed that it was a work promulgated as part of a psycho-Drama project, which had been organized with the consent of the students and the university.
He also claimed that a part of the work was deliberately filtered by a colleague who wanted to defame and sabotage his career.
The teacher had said that she would take legal measures to seek a remedy for the damage done to her social and academic reputation.
The academic woman had been asked to be licensed by Makaut on January 29.
The university team had formed an investigation panel of five members, all women members of the faculty and the panel in their findings destroyed the teacher’s claims about which the video was part of a psycho-direct project for documentation, said another official said of the University.
“It was nothing more than a cheap sketch of a fresh and inappropriate welcome program for a senior teacher,” said the officiating vice -rector, Tapassh Chakrabrabor.
The teacher could not be contacted for comment on the matter.
