The Supreme Court has refused to consider a request for reinvestigation for the murder of rape of a doctor at the RG Kar hospital in Kolkata who had shocked the nation last year. The request, presented by the doctor’s parents, has been withdrawn by his lawyer.
Appearing on behalf of the investigation agency: the Central Office of Investigation, Attorney General Tushar Mehta told the Court that the parents’ request will only help the convicted man: Sanjoy Roy, volunteer of the Kolkata police who had a career Free from the hospital.
The doctor’s parents had requested additional reinvestigation and research, arguing that others in addition to Sanjay Roy were involved. The conspirators and instigators have not been arrested and did not save and protected him, they had sustained.
The court, however, has allowed parents to amend it and present a new request.
On January 20, a court of first instance of Kolkata granted the convict of Sanjay Roy “prison of life until death” in the case.

The Superior Court also said that Protestant doctors returned to work after 22.8.24 should be regularized and their action will not be considered as absence of duty.
However, the Court clarified that its address has been issued in view of specific facts and circumstances, so this will not be considered as a precedent.
“We consider that it is appropriate to clarify that if the Protestant workers had joined work after the order of the Supreme Court, then their absence will be regularized and it will not be treated as the absence of duty.
