Union’s Minister of Commerce, Piyush, Goyal, said that the demand from some states that obtain central funds in proportion to their contribution of central kitten taxes is a “meaning” and “unfortunate” and “unfortunate.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is of the opinion that if the country must prosper, the eight states of the northeast and the East Indian states such as Bihar, Western Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand must develop, Goyal said on Saturday.
The BJP leader was talking in the ‘rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra 2025’, an event organized here by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and ‘students in interstate life (Seil)’.
In the last 11 years, the “laser approach” of the Modi government, such as Arjuna del Mahabharata, was in the northeast and eastern states, said the minister.
“It is unfortunate that some states and some leaders … I do not want to politicize it, but some leaders of Maharashtra used to say … leaders of the previous government that was there for two and a half years, used to calculate the tax paid by Mumbai and Maharashtra and ( demand) should recover so much quantity [of central funds]”Mr. Goyal said.
Mumbai North’s parliamentarian apparently referred to the previous Aghadi government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, led by Maha Vikas.
“There are some states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana who say they should recover the amount of taxes they have paid. There can be none [greater] petty thought [chhoti soch] That this. There can be nothing (more) unfortunate than this, “he said.
But there is no need to worry now since the current government led by BJP in Maharashtra is very sensitive to the northeast of India, the minister added.
Modi’s government in the center, during the last 11 years, has been following the policy of “Act East” and “Look this”, prioritizing the northeast of India, said Mr. Goyal.
Under the government of Modi, the capitals of the northeast states are being connected by the railroad and a road network is being built, he said.
Prime Minister Modi has visited the Northeast more than 65 times, he said, and urged people to visit the region at least once to see their beauty and culture.
