Rohit Sharma, along with several other stars in India such as Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashavi Jaiswal, returned to the Ranji trophy after a considerable gap last week. The decision to play the Ranji trophy matches, for their respective state teams, occurred after the BCCI directive that the national cricket is essential. However, Rohit Sharma’s return in the match against Jammu and Kashmir was not memorable. He failed to score big and Mumbai lost the game.
Now, according to a report in Times of IndiaRohit Sharma, Yashavi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer will miss the final clash of Ranji Mumbai trophies champion against Meghalaya from Thursday. The three players appeared in the sixth round of the Elite Group A for Mumbai against Jammu and Cashmira in the field of the Sharad Pawar Academy in BKC, where visitors recorded a dominant victory of five Wickt. However, none of the stars of Mumbai India, except Shardul Thakur, who obtained bright blows of 51 and 119, managed to have a significant impact, since a disciplined side of Jammu and Kashmira continued to save to finish the game within three days.
The report also said that there is the possibility that on February 2 (which is the fourth day of the Ranji Trophy Party), it is supposed to England from February 6.
“It is likely that Rohit, Jaiswal and Iyer attend the annual Naman Bcci awards in Mumbai on February 1. The next day (February 2), it is supposed to be reported for a short camp to Nagpur before the Odi series Of three games against England, “the report cited a source saying.
Rohit, Jaiswal and Iyer are part of the Odi Indio team for the series against England, scheduled for February 6, 9 and 12, followed by the Champions Trophy. For Jaiswal, 23, this will be his inaugural call to the national side of Odi Cricket, a source in the Mumbai Cricket Association, confirmed the lack of availability of the three players, including Iyer.
“It will join the Indian team,” said the source. The Indian team is currently dedicated to a T20i series of five games, leading 2-0, and Iyer will join his teammates to prepare for the next hate.
The defeat against Jammu and Kashmira has severely abolished the hopes of Mumbai, directed by Ajinkya Rahane, to advance to the quarterfinals. Mumbai will now need to defeat Meghalaya for a great margin and expect favorable results in other games to keep their living room hopes alive.
