The entire New Zealand, Amelia Kerr, made history on Tuesday by becoming the first Kiwi recipient of the prestigious streak heyhoe flint trophy, winning the title of player among his teammates, surpassing Laura Wolvaardt, Chamari Athaphththu and Annabel Sutherland to claim the main honor in the Women’s Cricket. Kerr is not only the first New Zealand to win the Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophy, but also the first kiwi to be recognized as a Cricket player of the Women’s ICC of the year in any category.
Throughout the year, Kerr demonstrated his skill as a world -class all -terrain, standing out in each facet of the game. His outstanding Fielding repeatedly lifted New Zealand, while his ability as a leg spinner established it as one of the most dangerous attack players in the world. Kerr was often the winner of the White Ferns party with the ball.
With the bat, she was an cornerstone of the New Zealand alignment, capable of playing expansive tickets to capitalize on strong beginnings or anchor the entries when the superior order hesitated.
Submitted for the first time in 2017, the Rachael Heyhoe Flint trophy has been awarded to only three players before Kerr: Ellyse Perry of Australia, Smriti Mandhana of India and Nat Sciver-Brunt of England, each of whom has won the prize twice.
