According to the reports, the M23 rebels backed by Rwanda have confiscated rubber control, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in two days, with clashes that leave more than 100 dead. The rebels overwhelmed local hospitals, forced the UN Peace Forces to take refuge in their bases and trusted the Goma International Airport, a strategic movement to cut the aid. The United States expressed a deep concern and urged M23 to stop its offensive, while China requested the withdrawal of Rwanda’s support. The African Union and the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also condemned violence and demanded the withdrawal of the rebels from occupied areas. More than 500,000 people have been displaced only in January. N18OC_CRUX
