The former Cricket player from India, Sairaj Bahutule, will join Rajasthan Royals as rotating bowling coach before the Indian Premier League this year (IPL). Bahutule, who had a period with RR of 2018-21, has resigned since his position at the National Academy of Cricket (NCA), which is now called the Center of Excellence, in Bengaluru. He will work alongside the bowling coach Shane Bond in New Zealand and chief coach Rahul Dravid. He had previously worked with Dravid when the latter was in charge of the Indian team.
“The discussions are ongoing, and I am close to finishing my participation with the franchise. There are still some details that resolved, but I am excited to realize with the real ones,” Bahutule told Cricbuzz.
“I am also delighted to gather with Rahul. He was the one who introduced me to the Indian team during the last border-galaskar trophy series in 2023 when I worked as a rotating bowling coach. I was also part of his coach of coach in Sri Lanka , I’m looking forward to our meeting. ” The 52 -year -old has played two tests and 8 ODI for India.
