The unions of all parties have called the 2025-26 Union Budget as anti-Gesto, Anti-Grections and Anti-workers, and appealed to the working class to oppose the same. They also demanded the center to discard the four labor codes that said they are harmful to the interests of the working class.
The leaders of several unions celebrated a protest in the GVMC Gandhi statue in the city on Wednesday. When addressing the meeting, leaders have said that the center has put public sector companies. On behalf of the national monetization pipe, the center is trying to sell PSU assets to companies, they alleged.
The union leaders described the union budget recently introduced as a “friendly with companies” budget and there was no allocation of funds for farmers, agriculture, dalits, tribes and working class. The medical and educational sectors have also been careless in the budget.
The union leaders alleged that the Narendra Modi government is changing 29 labor laws to four labor codes and this is against workers’ interests. Such movement will not allow workers to be correctly on strike and form as a union to maintain negotiations with administrations, they alleged.
Previously, the unions obtained a demonstration of the high step Telugu Talli to the GVMC Gandhi statue.
