Syed Muhammad Ali Al-Hussaini, the Sajjada Nasheen of Hazrath Khwaja Bandanawaz Dargah, has been unanimously elected as the new chairpersons of the Karnataka State Waqf Board.
Hussaini emphasised his commitment to uphold the law and the Waqf Act. He promised effective measures for the development of Waqf properties and to benefit the most vulnerable sections of the community.
“I will continue to work towards upliftment of the community by extending support, resources and opportunities to individuals in breaking the cycle of poverty and helping them become self-reliant.” Mr. Hussaini said.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and all the Congress leaders for their support, and for entrusting him with the responsibility.
