Do you know what happens when an Indian tries to authentic Philippine foods? A video shared on Instagram by the user, Faye Mabini, offers a look at this lovely culinary exchange. In the video, Faye presents his Indian mother -in -law to Atara carrotA hooded Filipino season with a bittersweet taste. This garrison is usually combined with barbecue, grilled or fried dishes. The video begins with Faye inviting his mother -in -law to prove the taste Atara. His mother -in -law anxiously takes a bite and exclaims: “Wow, that’s fine!” He even asks Faye for the full recipe.
Faye also shares his recipe in the video: combines a cup of water, half a cup of vinegar, two tablespoons of salt, a spoonful of sugar, a bay leaf and a little pepper in a pan. Then, she boils the mixture for about three minutes. After removing it from heat, add carrot slices and store the mixture in a bowl.
In the legend, Faye wrote: “My mother -in -law does not speak English when we met, and I don’t speak many words Hindi, but we do everything possible to communicate with each other. Now, she knows few words in English and it is not shy to speak and express herself” .
She added: “I appreciate how it is open to try my country’s food and is very anxious to learn how I do it. Share these pure moments with it to demonstrate that it is not impossible to build a good relationship with its mother -in -law even if you are a foreigner.”
