Stampede Maha Kumbh: around 25-30 women have been admitted to the Central Hospital established in the Mela area.
They feared several devotees injured after a stampede situation broke out at Maha Kumbh on Wednesday ahead of the ‘Amrit Snan’ in ‘Mauni Amavasya’.
According to the officials, the stampede situation broke out due to the overwhelming crowd, which led several women to suffocate.
The ambulances were sent quickly and the affected women were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
Around 25-30 women have been admitted to a hospital inside the lands of the Maha Kumbh fair. After the incident, Amrit Snan or the Blessed Dip in the bargain were delayed.
The Amrit Snan in Mauni Amavasya is the most significant ritual of Maha Kumbh. This year, the occasion is an additional spiritual importance due to a rare heavenly alignment known as ‘Triveni Yog’, which occurs once every 144 years.
