Shreyas Iyer demonstrated his class once again, while brokeing a half century in the first hate between India and England in Nagpur. Since they did not appear in the XI game, Shreyas was recruited after Virat Kohli suffered a knee problem the night before the game. He took the opportunity with both hands, hitting a 59 of 36 balls to help India reach the goal of 249 with more than 11 oversbase. Iyer also showed that he had worked significantly in his weak areas, particularly against the short ball.
For a long time, Shreyas’ ability against the short ball has stood out as the main weak point in his game. However, on this occasion, Iyer was up to the challenge.
In front of England’s pacemakers, Jofra Archer, in the seventh butt, Iyer connected two six in a row, using his foot game and his time to perfect.
The fifth ball of the upper part was thrown, just above the height of the waist, and Iyer turned it in the middle of the Wickt by six. The next ball was launched even taller, and Iyer timed her sweetly on the third man for another six.
