Elkhart, Ind. – A shooting in a grocery store in northern Indiana on Monday left three people dead, including the alleged shooter, and two injured police officers, authorities said.
Police received a 911 call around 5:30 pm about a shooting at Martin’s Super Market in Elkhart, said the city police department in a position on social networks. When the officers arrived, they found two victims of dead shooting inside the store.

The mayor of Elkhart, Rod Roberson, in a statement on Monday night, asked people to continue praying for the victims, including “our two police officers who were injured, our heroic lifeguards and those who are in the incident.”
Governor Mike Braun said on social networks that he was in contact with the state and local police about the shooting.
“Maureen and I are praying for the victims and their families,” said the post, referring to his wife.
Elkhart is about 15 miles (24 kilometers) east of South Bend, Indiana.
