Samsung Galaxy M35 Review: Budget Star

Samsung’s Galaxy M series is known for being affordable and at the same time offers a good value for money. The last phone of the Samsung M series, the M35 5G Galaxy, continues that tradition. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy M34 5G, the new telephone offers some hardware updates and some design changes. It also obtains the longest Android software update commitment in the segment. However, with the new inclusions there are also a higher price. I have used the Galaxy M35 5G to find out if the phone is a good SUV for the price. Keep reading to find out.

Speaking of the price, the base variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage has a price of RS. 19,999. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256 GB variants of the Galaxy M35 5G have a price of RS. 21,499 and RS. 24,299, respectively. Samsung has used polycarbonate for the rear panel and the frame in the Galaxy M35 5G. It obtains a family configuration of the triple rear camera as seen in the predecessor, but the camera rings are now a bit more prominent. The pattern in the rear panel is also different from the telephone last year, just like color options.

The phone lacks a headphones, which was present in the predecessor

This is a thick and heavier phone than most phones in its segment, including the Galaxy M34. The rear panel has a conical edge, but everything is flat in the front and on the sides. The back is also quite slippery, but fortunately, it is not a magnet of digital footprints. It is definitely a two -hand telephone unless you are the great Khali.

You will find the SIM tray slot on the left side, the volume and the buttons of the food/fingerprint scanner to the right, a microphone at the top and a USB type C port, speaker and another microphone at the bottom. Samsung has eliminated the 3.5 mm headphone port of the M35 5G galaxy, which is disappointing. There is no IP rating on the phone, and I didn’t find any joint on the SIM tray, so I would recommend keeping this away from the pool.

Golinando the phone, reveals a large screen with thick bezels. However, the bezels are more uniform and thinner than the oldest Galaxy M34 5g. You also get a blow screen this time instead of water drop notice. The screen is a bit larger than before, but the rest of the specifications remain mainly the same. It obtains good brightness (1,000 nits peak), causing the screen to be readable in the outdoor and outdoors. You can choose between an adaptive update rate of up to 120Hz or stick to 60Hz, and there are two screen color options: vivid and natural.

Samsung has updated screen protection at the M35 5G Galaxy with Gorilla Glass Vicus+, which is rare in this price segment. In general, the screen is excellent to watch videos and play games, and there is a good color reproduction and Widevine L1 support for complete HD content in transmission applications.

A user interface is one of my favorite Android skins, and Samsung continues to maintain the Bloatware to a minimum. Of course, you will find some pre -installed applications and the usual view lock screen, but all unwanted applications can be removed. The application drawer also has a Discover tab that recommends applications for you, but I would say it is better to search the Play Store to download any application you need.

As for software functions, it obtains things like the Edge panel, which offers quick access to applications, contacts and more through a sliding panel on the edge. It also obtains sharing, rapid modes and routines, always on display (AOD) and the most common characteristics of UI 6.1.

Samsung has promised four years of Android OS and five years of security patches. This is incredible since no other manufacturer offers this type of software support in this price segment.

Samsung Galaxy M35 Performance: does the job

Let’s talk about the performance. The Exynos 1380 socate at the Galaxy M35 5G is an Octa-Core chipset that offers a lower performance increase in the chipset last year. It is a good budget chip that does the job. I had no multitasking problems on the phone or playing games. What is also good is the inclusion of a steam cooling chamber, which is something that you will not find in this category. During my time with the phone, I never faced any heating problems, even when I was playing for an hour. Games like BGMI and ASPHALT 9 were executed without HICCUPS and in high graphics configurations. It’s a good phone for games.

The user interface is soft most of the time, with animations and applications that do not take too long to load. The application of the camera is also loaded quite fast, although it can see some delays if several applications are executed in the background. I executed some synthetic reference points on the phone to see how he worked against part of his competition.

As you can see, the phone works quite well in the reference tests. Of course, you should not completely trust the results, since real world performance can vary. That said, I did not face any important delay or application when using the phone to navigate, watch videos, play games, run multiple applications and take photos.

The phone comes with a hybrid stereo speaker configuration with a main speaker at the bottom doing most of the work and the headset acting as the second speaker. The speakers offer good separation and are strong but not the strongest. However, there are some bass, and I did not hear any crepitant, even at full volume. Microphones also do a good job during calls and the headset is clear.

Samsung has included a triple rear camera configuration in the M35 5G Galaxy, and they are not bad at all. The application of the camera is also quite direct and has all the main modes at your fingertips.

Triple camera configuration has only two usable sensors

The 50 megapixel primary chamber takes good photos in daylight conditions. I found that the images have good details, with a touch of over-saving present in heaven and vegetation, which is common in Samsung phones. The photos have a fairly precise color with a good HDR and White balance. Something noise begins to enter little light, but you still get good details and colors thanks to the automatic night mode.

Samsung’s ultra -wide camera of 8 megapixels also works decently well both in diurnal and low light conditions. However, Lowlight photos have much more noise than the main camera. The accuracy of color between primary and ultra -class cameras is quite good.

The third sensor is a depth unit and help in the photos of portraits, which are not so bad. The edge detection is fine for a phone at this price, but the portrait mode does not allow it to approach or leave, which means that the photos are always taken in the 1x standard.

The Galaxy M35 selfies are decent in the conditions of daylight, although skin tones are not very precise. With little light, there is a lot of noise in selfies.

Upon reaching the video performance, the main rear camera can shoot at a 4K resolution at 30 fps. The footage in the conditions of daylight is mainly clean with slightly saturated colors, but will notice some ice cream if it moves. The performance of the night video is not so bad either, but you will see a lot of noise. There is a super stable mode that produces better stabilized images, but is blocked at 1080p 30 fps.

Although I anticipated that the phone worked quite well in our battery life test, I did not expect me to comply with the 2 -day announced battery claim. The phone lasted 47 hours and 17 minutes in our HD video loop. None of the phones in its price segment even approached that number. Of course, daily use numbers will be lower, but it can make the phone last a day and a half or more with all kinds of use.

Samsung does not include a charger in the box

However, the load is relatively slow. A charger is not provided in the box, so one must obtain. I would recommend a 20W charger, at least. I used a 30 W adapter, and the phone took approximately 2 hours to go from 0 to 100 percent.

Samsung Galaxy M35 verdict

The Samsung Galaxy M35 faces a telephone competition such as OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite (Review), CMF Phone 1 (review), Motorola G85 (review), etc. If you observe our reference results, the phone worked better than its entire competition, except Motorola G85. If you are looking for a telephone with a better design, then the CMF 1 or the G85 motorcycle could be a better option. All the phones that I mentioned will also offer a thinner and more light construction. You may not get the same battery life, but you will get a faster load, while camera performance is mainly on the devices.

If you are looking for a phone under RS. 20,000 with a good screen, simple design, excellent battery life, good performance with almost without heating problems, a good set of cameras and bright software support, then the Galaxy M35 5G is something that you definitely consult. It is a budgetary star!
