Thane:
The father of a man who was arrested in Durg in Chhattisgarh as a suspect in the case of attack by Saif Ali Khan of January 16, criticized Mumba’s police on Monday for “ruining my son’s life.”
Akash Kanojia (31), a driver, was arrested by Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Kolkata Shalimar Jnaneshwari Express at Durg Station by the railway protection force on January 18 after a Mumbai police tip.
On the morning of January 19, Mumbai’s police arrested Islam Shariful Shariful from Bangladesh Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir aka Vijay Das of neighbor Thane, after which Durg’s RPF allowed Mr. Kanoejia to leave.
Kanjojia is a resident of Indiranagar Chawl in Titwala in the district of Thane.
“The police arrested my son without verifying his identity. This error has ruined his life. Now, due to mental trauma, Akash cannot concentrate on work or communicate with his family. He has retired, he does not speak correctly, and has lost All motivation, “said his father Kailash Kanojia.
“People say there is no similarity between my son and the real defendant. He lost his work and his marriage was canceled. Who is responsible? Police behavior has destroyed Akash’s future,” Kailash added.
