The Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, greeted the people of India on his 76th day of the Republic, saying that the association between the United States and New Delhi continues to reach newer heights, and added: “It will be a definitive relationship of the 21st century. ” As India completes 75 years as the Republic, he will show his military power and his vibrant cultural heritage in an annual parade on Sunday on the Kartavya road in New Delhi.

He said that the association between the United States and India continues to reach new heights and will be a definition of the 21st century.
“The lasting friendship between our two peoples is the basis of our cooperation and drives us forward as we realize the tremendous potential of our economic relationship,” said Rubio.
“We hope to deepen our cooperation in next year, even by advancing in our joint efforts in research and spatial coordination within the Quad to promote a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region,” he added.
Rubio chooses to have a first bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart
Previously, Rubio met with Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar on Tuesday in his first bilateral commitment to any country as Secretary of State. He also attended the Prime Ministerial of Quad of the new Trump administration along with his counterparts from India, Japan and Australia.
The meeting stressed the importance that the Trump administration attributes to strengthening ties with India. Rubio told Jaishankar that the United States seeks to advance economic ties with India and address concerns related to irregular migration.
In a publication on X after the meeting, Jaishankar said he was delighted to meet with Rubio for his first bilateral meeting after taking office as Secretary of State.
