The Crickt Control Board in India (BCCI) has rewarded the World Cup winning team led by Rohit Sharma with customs with diamonds. Taking a sheet from the American sports leagues such as the NBA and the NFL game books, the BCCI rewarded players with the “champions” rings during the Naman 2025 awards in Mumbai last week. Last year, India defeated South Africa in Barbados to lift the T20 World Cup title, the country’s first great success from the 2013 Champions Trophy.
The personalized ring presents the name and number of Jersey players, with an Ashok chakra embedded at the top. India was indifatinated in the tournament, and the ring also highlighted the margin of victories of the team in each of the teams.
“Present #Teamindia with your champions ring to honor your perfect campaign in #T20Worldcup. Diamonds can be forever, but this victory is certainly immortalized in one billion hearts. These memories ‘will sound’ strong and live with us for Always, “BCCI subtitled” the video of the ad.
India managed to win the final despite South Africa at a stage that needed only 30 races of so many balls.
After the final, the captain of India, Rohit Sharma, and the star batter Virat Kohli announced their T20I retirements. A day later, the all -terrain Ravindra Jadaja joined them to go to goodbye to the format.
“This was my last T20 World Cup, and this is what we wanted to achieve,” Kohli said after the game. “One day you feel that you can’t run, then things happen. God is great, and I did the work for the team the day I mattered. Now or never, the last T20 for India, I wanted to do the maximum of that.” Kohli said in the middle of the celebration of India.
“This was my last game (T20I) too. It is not a better time to say goodbye to this format. I loved every moment. I started my career in India playing this format. This is what I wanted, I wanted to win the Cup.
