Redmi Buds 6 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headphones were launched earlier this month and are currently available in India. They were presented in India together with Redmi Note 14 5g Series phones. With up to 42 hours of total battery duration, they support 360 degree space audio and up to 49 dB of hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC). The headphones offer double device connectivity and have a compilation with IP54 classification for dust resistance and splashes. Headphones have a price in the country in RS. 2,999. Explore if they are worth it.

Redmi Buds 6 headphones have an internal traditional design, and the ears tips come in three sizes. The headphones come with medium -sized tips on the headphones, along with two additional pairs of silicone tips, one small and a large one, in the box. Of these three, the medium offered me the safest adjustment. They are not the most comfortable headphones I have tried, but they are far from the worst. I could use them for a few hours without problems.
Tactile controls in Redmi Buds 6 headphones are soft and intuitive. The sensors are placed towards the top of the stem. Like most competitive machines, you can customize different TAP actions with different functions through the complementary application, which we will discuss in the next section. The headphones are located on the case, with the load connectors placed on the inner side closest to their face when you have them.
The compact magnetic load case has a USB type C port and a flow design LED in the front. The pairing button is placed on the right side, while the “Redmi” brand is seen at the top of the box. The flow LED adds a cold visual aesthetic, yes, but also has a functional purpose. It shows the battery level when the box is closed, or the pairing button is pressed. In this way, you know when to overcome the load in the case without searching to verify it in the application every time.
Redmi Buds 6 headphones have an IP54 classification for dust resistance and splashes, but the case does not have such input classifications. This could have been more prominent due to my white review unit, but the case attracts a good amount of dust and marks.
Application and specifications of REDMI BUDS 6: Adequate
Driver – 12.4 mm + 5.5 mm
Complementary application – Xiaomi headphones
Gesture controls – Yes
The Redmi Buds 6 is compatible with the application of Xiaomi headphones, which has a simple and accessible design. The percentage of the headphones battery and the load case (when open) are visible on the home screen, followed by the noise cancellation modes. There are noise cancellation modes: noise cancellation, off and transparency. With the transparency mode, you can choose between two noise cancellation intensities and environmental interference mixtures. We will talk about these in detail in the next section.
In addition to these, the application allows you to customize different gestures for different functions. You can customize individual, double and triple taps, as well as press and maintain actions, for each headset. You can use them to moderate a variety of music control functionalities. You can also use the press and retention action to click on the photos.
You can use REDMI BUDS 6 headphones as a remote shutter control. However, this characteristic cannot be accessed when the dual device connectivity is enabled. When your headphones are only connected to your smartphone, you can press and hold either headset to capture an almost handless image. That is ordered and useful even at a time when I would otherwise have to resort to a timer.
Redmi 6 Buds have 12.4 mm titanium diaphragms and 5.5 mm. They offer up to 49DB of ANC and it is said that they provide a total battery duration of up to 42 hours. The load case carries a 475 mAh battery, while each headset has a 54 mAh cell. The headphones also come with an IP55 classification for dust resistance and splashes. The headphones admit Bluetooth 5.4 and double service connectivity.
Redmi Buds 6 Performance and battery life: It is not very impressive
ANC – 49DB
BATTERY – 54MAH (BUD), 475MAH (case)
Quick Position: Yes (he claimed 10 minutes for up to four hours)
Bluetooth – Bluetooth 5.4
With double driver units, REDMI BUDS 6 TWS headphones allow you to experience quite well adjusted audio, acceptable enough in a range of less than RS. 3,000. Bass yield is good, although above 50 percent of the volume, some sounds, particularly those of most frequency, can often distort. The clues like Good Times Bad Times of LED Zeppelin or Hush By Deep Purple are largely clear, but can be clouded in the highest guitar riffs or vocals.
The customizable equalizer at our disposal through the application of Xiaomi headphones allows a moderation that facilitates deficiencies to some extent. The application has pre -established EQ configurations that allow it to improve the bass, acute or voice on a certain track. The headphones will allow you to opt for the 360 degree space audio too. With this way, you get a good and immersive experience. But this mode also happens the battery life.
The application allows you to moderate and alternate among the various degrees of ANC. With Anc enabled, the Redmi Buds 6 manages to get rid of the most common environmental disturbances. Even the fan of the fan in an already quiet room is considerably moderate. In public places, if necessary, they can drown most undesirable disturbances. However, when it is outdoors, you may want to maintain all your faculties alert and be more aware of your environment. The transparency mode allows you to do that. There are two subconsets offered by this mode, one that improves the voice and another that improves environmental noises.
The double microphone configuration of Redmi’s Buds 6 can be approved for occasional short -term calls. However, the main problem with these headphones fell on connectivity. They come with Bluetooth 5.4 support and can be combined with two electronic devices simultaneously. If you are seeing something on your laptop and attend a phone call in the middle, often video playback after the call does not go to audio until you have updated it a couple of times at least. This is not just with calls; If you reproduce any audio or visual audio medium on the second device, you can face this problem quite frequently. After the first days, my patience became thin. I preferred to use these headphones connected to a single device at the same time.
The company states that with Anc On, Redmi Buds 6 can last a total of up to 26 hours, with 6.5 hours in the headphones with a single load. During the revision period, with an Ance on, with a volume of 50 percent at all times, the headphones were exhausted between five hours and 20 to 30 minutes. Without the ANC, the claim is up to 10 hours of reproduction time only in the headphones and up to 42 hours in the case. In all my time with these headphones without ANC in a volume of 50 percent, they ran between eight hours and 56 minutes and nine hours and 23 minutes. These numbers, although they do not match the statements, are not bad in general. With casual use, a single charge of the case can last up to four business days (although it really depends on its definition of casual use).
Redmi 6 Buddhas: verdict
Do you have a budget but do you need ANC headphones for casual use? Do not look for more than the Redmi 6 Buds in RS. 2,999, they offer a friendly adjustment, a passable adjustment and a decent ANC. The battery life, as discussed, is not bad, is simply not up to the announced brand. You must overlook the problems of not so uncommon connectivity and try to avoid a pot if you get a stain in the case by chance.
However, if Santa Claus has smiled at you, to allow you to slightly relax your strict budget for RS. 300 Precisely, you can consider the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro (review), sold in the country in RS. 3,299. For a few hundred dollars, you will get a better construction, an impressive battery and a more stable double device connectivity. These headphones come with an IP55 rating, while Redmi Buds 6 have an IP54 classification compilation. Although, this will hardly make a functional difference for casual use. What should help you decide is that you can squeeze up to 44 hours of total reproduction time of the Nord Buds 3 with a single load.
