The number of posts filled by the Revanth Reddy government will soon touch the one lakh mark with the government’s efforts to recruit candidates selected for Group 1, 2, and 3 posts. This development comes on the heels of the government’s achievement of filling 58,868 posts in just 15 months, creating a record of sorts in the country.
Of the 58,868 posts filled under the Revanth Reddy government, 15,526 posts were filled in the Home department. The Education department saw the recruitment of 10,209 posts, while the Medical and Health department received 7,517 posts, and the BC Welfare department got 5,578 posts.
The government has recently sanctioned 30,228 new posts in various departments. Of these, 2,711 posts belonging to Group 1 (563), Group 2 (783), and Group 3 (1365) will be filled soon, according to official sources. Additionally, the government will issue a notification to appoint 14,236 teacher and helper posts in Anganwadis, along with 10,954 village level officers to strengthen the revenue system.
Mr Reddy has handed over appointment documents to 922 individuals, including 582 compassionate appointments on Thursday. The government has come to the aid of affected families who have been waiting for compassionate appointments for years after losing their main residence. To facilitate this, the Chief Minister has taken a key decision to remove obstacles to undertaking these compassionate appointments.
As per the Chief Minister’s orders, 524 posts of office subordinate and night watchman in Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishads have been upgraded to Junior Assistant posts. Further, 58 new Junior Assistant supernumerary posts have been created.
