Realme India, for reasons better known to the company, stopped launching any of its new GT brand smartphones after the launch of the GT Neo 3, which also reached a special 150W model. If you remember, the GT line began as middle -ranking devices such as Realme GT Master Edition and then branched on smartphones more focused on players (or youth -centered) as the GT Neo series. The last GT NEO 3 150W we reviewed (in June 2022) it was about offering high -end game performance (along with its obvious disadvantages) and average cameras. These devices, despite their high -end specifications, were difficult to recommend the casual user mainly because they also had a price too high (rs. 42,999) and did not offer any practical characteristic as a good camera, an IP rating or even wireless charge For the casual user.
Some years have passed, and although Realme has launched GT brand devices in the Chinese market, it has finally decided to relaunch the GT series in India. His new smartphone is called Realme GT 6T, which does not connect with any of its previous GT-Series devices launched in India. So where does this new GT fit? Let’s find out!
Realme GT has a price of RS. 30,999 for the base variant of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which immediately makes it a very competitive offer given the hardware it offers. The telephone is available in four variants, with the highest variant equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, with a price of RS. 39,999.
The Realme GT 6T has a thin design, since it packs a large chamber and vapor cooling system
However, this competitive price sees the kingdom reducing some corners. Now that I have used the phone for a short time, the obvious is the plastic frame and the rear panel, which, despite its modern minimalist appearance, is an adequate dust magnet. The rear panel also flexes a bit. Interestingly, despite using plastic for your chassis and rear panel, Realme states that your phone also has an IP65 rating, which would be the first for a GT series device in India.
I really like the GT 6T design, which is a mixture of curved edges and flat sides. I also like the double tone finish of the rear panel, which has a very reflective mirror finish (which is still a little misty at the same time) near the cameras, but a metallic gray finish for the rest. Like its rear panel, the phone has a curved edge screen on the front, which is curved on its left and right sides. It is a Full-HD+ AMOLED panel of 6.78 inches of the LTPO variety, which means that it can reduce its 1Hz update speed when necessary to save battery life. The panel also has a normal 360Hz tactile sampling rate and a 2,500Hz turbocharged tactile sampling while playing. This exhibition is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 of Corning.
It is also surprisingly thin for a telephone that claims to have the largest steam camera cooling system on a smartphone. The phone has a large battery of 5,500 mAh that can be loaded to 120 W.
The Realme GT 6T is currently the only middle range smartphone (or even smartphones in general) that has a socqum Snapdragon 7+ gen 3. This is a fairly powerful processor, since it borrows a lot of architecture and nuclei of the series Premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that is found on Premium devices that cost more than RS. 50,000.
Taking into account the last GT NEO series and its average camera performance, it is good to see that Realme add a Sony Lyt-600 camera of the new era with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The camera has a brilliant opening F/1.8 and also Paste OIS, which should technically offer a better photograph with little light. Now, the same sensor was also baked in Realme 12+ Smartphone, but did not yield good results in our review. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how this camera goes when it is supported by Qualcomm Silicon.
The Realme GT 6T screen is from the Ltpo Amoled variety and is curved on the sides
Feeding all the above is real UI 5.0, which is based on Android 14.
In fact, Realme GT 6T seems a step in the right direction for its GT series. While it is oriented to games, given their performance oriented hardware options, there is finally a balance with other practical characteristics.
It is not as inferior or more focused on the design as the oldest GT Edition, and is not completely focused on the players, which would reduce its appeal to the average consumer.
At this time, it looks like a very well balanced mixture of hardware and software, but we will have to test it to discover how it compares with other premium smartphones at this price. Then, be attentive to our detailed review, which will come out soon.
