New Delhi:

The budget session began with a new controversy this morning after the deputy of Congress, Sonia Gandhi, called President Droupadi Murmu as “poor” while commenting on his speech to Parliament. The phrase followed the concern of Mrs. Gandhi that the 66 -year -old woman seemed exhausted after her long habitual speech, and the BJP denounced it as a “derogatory comment” and demanded an apology.

President Murmu went to a joint session of Parliament this morning to mark the beginning of the budget session.

After her usual speech, Mrs. Gandhi, a superior policy that once served as head of the Congress, were asked the journalists who asked her comment outside the Parliament.

“The president was getting tired in the end. He could barely speak, poor,” said Mrs. Gandhi, flanked by her children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, both parliamentarians.

“Boring? No comments? Repeat the same over and over again?” You could hear Rahul Gandhi helping his mother with his comments.

The BJP has condemned Mrs. Gandhi’s comment with the head of the JP Nadda party saying that it is “deeply respectful” and underlines the contempt of the opposition for the dignity of the highest constitutional position.

“Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. As long “Nadda said.

The deliberate use of such words, “poor”, shows the elitist nature, anti -pobre and antibal of the Congress party, said, demanding that the opposition party would issue an unconditional apology.

The BJP deputy, Sukanta Majumdar, added that the feudal mentality of Congress cannot digest the fact that a lady Adivasi had become the president of the country.

“It was a derogatory comment. Leaders such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should not approve such comments, especially in the president. Drugupadi Murmu belongs to an Adivasi family and is now the number one citizen of our country and that is not accepted by Congress Zamindari mentality.

The Congress has not yet commented on the positions of the BJP.

The BJP accused the Congress of being feudal several times in the past, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi even remembered an image of Indira Gandhi of his visit from Gujarat, who showed her holding a handkerchief near her nose due to bad smells. He hinted that she was an elitist while calling him the “fragrance of humanity.”

President Murmu, during his speech earlier in the day, said that the government has worked to raise the economy of “political paralysis” despite the challenges such as the conflicts of Pandemia and Global COVID-19. He also said that the third mandate of the Modi government is seeing the work that is done three times the rhythm of the previous regimes.

The president praised government efforts in the aviation and rail sectors and said he is working for modernization in the agricultural sector and aims to be self -sufficient.

He also shared concerns about digital fraud and cybercrime that raise challenges for national security.
