The Minister of Industries, P. Rajeve, has said that the Government will take measures to address the challenges faced by the traditional industry sectors. I was talking after inaugurating the textile conclave organized by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) in association with the Department of Industries and Commerce here Wednesday.
The textile conclave was organized as part of a series of specific concerts in the sector planned before the Global Invest Kerala (IKGS 2025), scheduled to be held in Kochi on February 21 and 22. Mr. Rajeve said that a comprehensive plan to improve marketing strategies will be implemented in manual and textile loom sectors. He said these sectors need to create innovative and quality products to explore new markets.
“The cabinet has approved the new export policy. The textile sector has contributed significantly to exports, and we must look for what can be done to achieve success, ”he said.
APM Mohammed Hanish, main secretary, industries and commerce, who presided over the function, said societies and cooperatives should seek diversification for sustainable growth.
