The central leadership of the Congress Party has taken a serious note of the conduct of its MLC Teenmaar Mallanna aka Chintapandu Naveen, who burned the copies of the survey of socioeconomic castes. Mr. Mallanna, who has been quite critical of her own party and her leaders in recent times, was available to burn a copy of the survey and made offensive comments against the exercise carried out by the Government. He had praised the integrated household survey conducted by the then BRS government in 2014 and said that the current socioeconomic survey conducted by the Congress government was nothing more than a survey of the front castes and not an integrated survey. “This is the height of a series of his questionable behavior in the recent past, where he made comments against the party and the partimides. AICC’s leadership is annoying because his act of burning the copy of the survey report is nothing more than belittling the concept of Rahul Gandhi’s desire to train back classes, “said a TPCC official higher than The Hindu Wednesday night.
The disciplinary action committee (DAC) of the party is expected to meet on Thursday or Friday and discuss the developments. “A notice is expected to ask Mr. Mallanna to show why measures should not be taken against him for his antiparty activities,” said the TPCC leader. The MLC was criticized after its supposed derogatory comments against a community while heading to the BC conclave in Warangal. His comments against the front community were not good with the leaders of the Congress of that community, which filed a complaint.
The head of TPCC, Mahesh Kumar Goud, to a question at a press conference here on Wednesday, has said that anyone who crosses the party line will face action. “Anyone who has crossed the party’s line will face the action of the disciplinary committee,” he said.
