The four-day conference has been organized by the Bharat Center for Olympic Research and Education (B-Core) of the RRU, an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Interior of the Union.
In his speech, Usha said that thanks to the conference, representatives of several Olympic studies and research centers around the world, as well as experts from various fields have converged in India.
“India’s commitment to the Olympic movement is at a transformative moment, one that goes beyond competitive sports to adopt the true spirit of Olympisim, which promotes peace, education and cultural exchange through sports” , he insisted.
“What makes this conference significant is its time. As India intends to organize the Olympic Games (2036), we are not only strengthening our infrastructure capabilities, but also our intellectual and research preparation,” said former athlete , which dominated the Asian athletics of the track and the field in the 1980s.
The president of the IOA maintained that the conference will serve as a platform where the global experience meets Indian innovation through the discussion about urban transformation, technological advances, sustainability and inclusive governance.
One of the main purposes of the conference is to demonstrate the holistic approach of India for sports development and its role in social progress, said Usha.
“This meeting gave a powerful message to the international sports community, that is India’s commitment to contribute significantly to the global Olympic movement through research, innovation and knowledge exchange,” he said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 38 National Games in Dehradun on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said opportunities in different sectors.
In his speech at the conference, which will conclude on January 30, IOA Vice President Ajay Patel said that the conclave is a reflection of the evolutionary sports vision of India.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Shah, India is transforming sports into a national empowerment and innovation mission, he said.
“Research is our most powerful tool.
