Dismissing allegations of politics of vendetta by the Congress government, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said the Revenue Department has followed the orders of the High Court of Karnataka with regard to alleged encroachment of close to 18 acres at Kethaganahalli village on the outskirts of Bidadi in Ramanagara district by Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy and his family members.

Speaking to reporters on March 20, Mr. Shivakumar said, “Vendetta politics is in the DNA of Mr. Kumaraswamy. The officials have only followed court orders. The case was filed by Samaj Parivartana Samudaya (SPS) founder-president S.R. Hiremath.”

“We have not lodged any complaint. It was filed by Mr. Hiremath. The SPS chief has filed many cases against me too. Government officials are doing their job after court orders. There is no vendetta in this,” Mr Shivakumar reiterated.
