With the back firmly pressed against the wall, the Mumbai defenders will be in a desperate search for a victory with bonus points when they face Meghalaya in the last game of the Ranji Trophy Trophy Elite Group in Mumbai starting Thursday. The defense of the Mumbai title received a strong blow last week when a better prepared but better prepared man .

The captain of India Rohit Sharma, the feeling of batting Yashavi Jaiswal and the presence of pillars such as Shreyas Iyer and Rahane did not have much impact on the procedures, since J & K kept the rhythm with constant pressure on the hosts.

Only Shardul Thakur was able to put a stoic resistance with his 51 and 119 in both entries to give Mumbai a fighting opportunity, but his efforts were not enough in a game in which the hitters could not collect on a friendly surface.

Thakur personified the resilience and defect, particularly in the second entries when he fought against the cramps while performing a massive association of 184 races for the eighth Wickt with Tanush Kotian.

Mumbai will now be without Rohit, Jaiswal and Iyer, who will join with the Indian team before the next Odi tasks against England followed by the Champions Trophy.

Domestic giants will wait for young weapons in Ayush Mhatre, Suryansh Shedge and Angkrish Raguvanshi to be well against Meghalaya.

Mhatre has had a good debut season. The 17 -year -old has hit two tons in six first -class games so far, while scoring 408 races in five Trophy Ranji games in 45.33, including two tons and fifty.

Mumbai can also seek to bring back to Siddhesh. It has 373 races in four games with a century and two fifty with 74.60.

In six games, Mumbai has three victories and two losses and one draw giving them 22 points.

In so many games, J & K has four victories and two draws to have won 29 points, while Baroda has four victories, a defeat and a defeat that gives them 27 points.

The third place Mumbai will have to overcome Meghalaya by a great margin to win with a bonus point and expect the Baroda in second place to be better than J & K that are perched on the top of the points table.

While a victory would help Baroda, who beat Mumbai at the opening of the season at home, will advance to the quarterfinals, the hosts will need at least three points of the contest to pass.

J & K stood out against Mumbai with an excellent sample of discipline and determination, particularly his trio of rhythm of Umar Mir Nazir, Auqib Nabi and Yudhvir Singh exploding the wickt of the first day that had a lot of moisture.
