The world of Mukbang’s videos has taken social networks by assault, with millions tune in to see creators devour large amounts of food. The sound of creak, sip and tintineo utensils creates an ASMR effect that keeps spectators hooked. Among the most important names in this niche, the Japanese competitive dining room Yuka Kinoshita has been a dominant force. For years, Yuka Kinoshita surprised millions with her amazing challenges. A little woman with an insatiable appetite turned the competition into an art form, causing the jaws to fall while devoured by mountains of food at once. But after more than a decade of exceeding its limits, Mukbang’s Japanese star has decided to retire.
With 5.2 million subscribers on YouTube, his announcement left excited fans. Kinoshita’s decision to get away from competitive food occurs only a few months after his return to social networks. He had previously taken a seven -month break to concentrate on his mental health, as reported by the Post in the morning of southern China.
In his retirement video, Kinoshita spoke frankly in Japanese. A loose translation of his statement: “Well, I retire from eating a lot. I will fulfill 40 on February 4 and I have felt tired of eating a lot. It is difficult for me to continue working as a great dining room. I am very exhausted. My health has deteriorated over the years. It is not a problem eating as a normal person, but I will feel tired even when it is not full. So I’m afraid I can’t eat as much as before. “
