The deputy of the Congress Rakesh Rathore was arrested from his residence in Sitapur in a violation case on Thursday (January 30, 2025), a day after the Superior Court of Allahabad rejected his statement of early bond.

Mr. Rathore was aimed at a press conference when Kotwali Police Nagar reached his residence to stop him.

A FIR was filed against Mr. Rathore on January 17 for a complaint of a woman who accused him of violating her repeatedly for four years after promising marrying her.

The authorities continue their research on the matter.
