Elon Musk made a surprise appearance during the AFD electoral campaign event in Germany (Alternative of Fuy Deutschland) in East in East of Germany on Saturday, speaking publicly in support of the extreme right party for the second time in so many weeks.
Going to a lounge of 4,500 people with the leader of the Alice Weidel party, Musk spoke live through a video link about preserving German culture and protecting the German people.
“It is good to be proud of German culture, German values and not lose that in some kind of multiculturalism that dilutes everything,” Musk said.
Last week, the American billionaire caused a fuss after making a gesture that made comparisons in line with Nazi greeting during the inauguration festivities of US President Donald Trump.
On Saturday, he said that “children should not be guilty of their parents’ sins, much less their great -grandparents,” apparently referring to Germany’s Nazi past.
“There is too much focus on past guilt, and we have to go beyond that,” he said.
Musk, who talked about the suppression of the discourse under the government of Germany, previously attacked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in X.
For his part, Scholz said Tuesday that he does not support freedom of expression when used for extreme right -wing opinions.
Musk spoke in favor of voting for the extreme right -wing game, saying: “I am very excited by the AFD, I think you are really the best hope for Germany […] Fight for a great future for Germany, “he told the spectators.
Weidel thanked him, said the Republicans were causing the United States to be great again and asked their followers to make Germany great again.
Earlier this month, Musk received Weidel in an X interview, moving concern about electoral interference.
Despite the winter climate, the law activists were in force on Saturday, with around 100,000 meetings around the Brandenburg Gate of Berlin and up to 20,000 in Colonia, including people of all ages that carry colorful umbrellas.
