The main sources of intelligence said CNN-NEWS18 That Hamas has joined Jaish and Lashkar. In the video, Jaish’s gunmen can be seen on the stage that protect Hamas leaders, they said.
They said that this is a worrying development in the security dynamics of the region. Any alliance between these groups could indicate a change in their strategies, which potentially expands its operations beyond their traditional focus, they added.
The sources also said that such collaboration could increase tensions in southern Asia and increase the narrative against India outside Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan. This meeting of these groups could lead to greater cross -border terrorism, particularly in J&K, they said.
In addition, they said that this is a threat to global security, since these groups have historically attacked civilians and have carried out large -scale attacks. Pakistan has been accused of providing secure shelters and support for groups like Jem and Let, they added.
The sources also said that if Hamas is now operating in Pok, Pakistan’s continuous participation could indicate to promote militant activity. Hamas has traditionally focused on the conflict in Israel-Palestine, but there have been reports of their limited interactions with militant groups in southern Asia in the past, they said.
They added that a formal alliance such as this will mark a significant escalation and is a convergence of militant groups with different but overlapping agendas.
