The president of the United States, Donald Trump, told journalists on Monday that Microsoft is in conversations to acquire Tiktok and would like to see a war of offers about the application.
Microsoft and Tiktok did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for a comment outside regular business schedule.
Trump has previously said that he was in conversations with several parts about the purchase of Tiktok and hopes to make a decision about the future of the application in the next 30 days.
The application, which has around 170 million US users, was briefly disconnected just before a law that requires the bya for selling for national security reasons or in front of a prohibition on January 19.
Trump, after assuming on January 20, signed an executive order that sought to delay in 75 days the application of the law that was implemented after US officials warned that there was a risk that the data of the Americans are used Bad under the byte.
