Mameta Kulkarni embarked on a spiritual journey renouncing her mundane life and assuming a new identity of Mai Mameta Nand Giri on Friday. A video of the actress who gets excited during her ritual ‘Sanyas’ has gone viral on social networks.
The clip shows the former actress breaking in tears while submitting to the spiritual ceremony. The video, which seems to have been recorded during his retirement to a spiritual center, shows Mamta while preparing to embrace the path of resignation.
In the video, it is seen with a garland of Rudraksha and dressed in saffron clothes.

According to media reports, fame actress ‘Karan Arjun’ officially hugged ‘Sanyas’ on Friday after arriving at Kinnar Akhara during Maha Kumbh. There, he met Acharya Mahamondaleshwar Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, who blessed her.
It is said that Mameta did the ‘Pind Daan’ ritual in the Sangam and his coronation ceremony took place at the Kinnar Akhara. As part of the ceremony, he was also given a new spiritual name: ‘Shri Yamai Mamta Nand Giri’.
He has also been officially appointed as Mahamondaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara during a great traditional ceremony.
In a recent interview with Ians, Mameta shared the reasons for her long absence of India and the entertainment industry. She explained: “The reason for India was spirituality. In 1996, I leaned towards spirituality, and during that time, I met the Guru Gagan Giri Maharaj. After his arrival, my interest in spirituality and my Penance began.
Mameta left the film industry after his role in the 2002 movie Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hu.
