The Telangana Prime Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, reacted with surprise to the news of the Sangam stampede in the middle of the current Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The prime minister said that the Telangana government is ready to extend the necessary assistance.
He extended condolences to the members of the family of people who lost their lives. The main minister asked the governments of the center and Uttar Pradesh to come to the rescue of the families already injured.
The Minister of Health, Damodar Raja Narasimha, also expressed a deep sadness for the stampede in the Kumbh Mela that resulted in casualties. He urged the Uttar Pradesh government to take measures to prevent such incidents from resorting.
